Tyler Kistner goes after ‘coward’ Mayor Frey in new campaign ad

“If Angie Craig can’t support our police, how can she support the great people of Minnesota?"

Tyler Kistner, the GOP-endorsed candidate for Minnesota’s Second Congressional District, has released an ad attacking Democrats over law and order issues.

Kistner’s ad, called “Defend the Police,” goes on the offensive against Democrats like Reps. Ilhan Omar and Angie Craig, as well as Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey.

“Do you want to know what it looks like to have a country without an effective police force? I know. As a marine officer, I deployed four times overseas, to failed states where chaos, destruction, and mob rule was the law of the land. I will not allow that to happen here in America,” states Kistner, a nine-year Marine veteran.

“When domestic terrorists stormed upon this building with fire, the mayor ordered the police to stand down, to give up. He abandoned his people, and he allowed this to happen. Now he wants federal bailout money? What a coward,” says Kistner as he walks alongside the rubble of the Minneapolis Police Department’s Third Precinct station.

He calls out Craig, his opponent, for not disavowing the “defund the police” movement, but says her silence is not surprising. Kistner notes that Craig has voted with Omar, a supporter of the effort to defund the police, 91% of the time.

“If Angie Craig can’t support our police, how can she support the great people of Minnesota?” Kistner asks.

He points out that Omar, who called the Minneapolis Police Department a “cancer,” should know what a place without a police force looks like.

“She knows what a country looks like without police, just like I do,” said Kistner. “I will always stand in solidarity with our men and women in uniform because I understand their sacrifice and I respect it. Ilhan Omar and Angie Craig, they don’t.”
