South St. Paul’s Sportsman’s Guide company has donated thousands of N95 protective masks to first responders and health care workers on the front lines in response to the need for personal protective equipment since the COVID-19 outbreak.

This week the company donated 2,000 masks to the Minnesota Police and Peace Officers Association for distribution to law enforcement agencies across the state.

The MPPOA thanked the sporting goods company in a Facebook post for the donation and stated in a Twitter post that the masks were being delivered to agencies across the state.

The company, headquartered in South St. Paul, also donated 40,000 masks to the Minnesota Nurses Association late last month.
