Sen. Amy Klobuchar rented a Virginia home from NBC host Chuck Todd, who never disclosed the relationship during his many interviews with the Minnesota politician.

That’s according to a Thursday report from Breitbart editor Alex Marlow, who discusses the relationship in his new book, “Breaking the News: Exposing the Establishment Media’s Hidden Deals and Secret Corruptions.”

Marlow states that Klobuchar and her husband, attorney John Bessler, began renting an Arlington, Va., home from Todd in 2008, shortly into her first term as a U.S. senator. Monthly rent for the three-bedroom house was $3,200, earning Todd $38,400 annually.

The relationship went undisclosed until February 2020, when the New York Post learned about the matter. According to the Post, Klobuchar was no longer living in Todd’s house at the time of the report, but it’s unclear when she moved out.

The Post’s report was released a day after Todd served as a moderator for a Democratic presidential primary debate, which Klobuchar participated in as a candidate.

But that wasn’t the first or only time Klobuchar’s former landlord interviewed her about her campaign for the highest office in the land. Todd spoke with Klobuchar on-air at least eight times throughout her campaign, including another June 2019 debate and a 20-minute sit-down interview, Marlow points out.

Todd’s wife, Kristian Denny, is a Democratic consultant.
