Omar Calls For “Dismantling” Of America’s “Economy And Political Systems”

Just hours after Omar called for a "dismantling" of American society, news broke that her campaign has given over $878,000 in donation money to her husband's consulting firm.

Ilhan Omar

Ilhan Omar, a progressive congresswoman from Minnesota says that America needs to dismantle its “economy and political systems.”

“As long as our economy and political systems prioritize profit without considering who is profiting, who is being shut out, we will perpetuate this inequality,” she said, speaking on what she sees as rampant racism in America. “We can not stop at criminal justice system. We must begin the work of dismantling the whole system of oppression wherever we find it,” she concluded.

Her comments came by way of a PBS News broadcast that appeared on Twitter, Wednesday.

Her comment quickly earned the support of her fellow progressives.

“My sister [Omar] said it best: We must begin with dismantling the whole system of oppression wherever we find it,” said Rashida Talib, a progressive congresswoman from Michigan. Left wing New York congressman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez also rushed to Omar’s defence.

However, others disagreed with Omar’s call to “dismantle” the American government and economy.

Newt Gingrich reminded his followers on social media that “Ilhan Omar was born in Mogadishu, spent part of her childhood in a refugee camp. She and her family were accepted by the United States and in one generation she has become a congresswoman.”

Why is she so angry at America,” he asks. “Gratitude might have been better than rage as a response.”

Omar’s Republican 2020 opponent, Lacy Johnson, also added to the discourse simply informing voters in his district that “Ilhan Omar called for the “dismantling” of everything that’s good for America.”

Omar responded to Gingrich and other Republican critics by mocking them with a gif.

Meanwhile members of Omar’s “squad,” a group of far left female representatives, actually took action to dismantle a key aspect of American society and radically alter the nation’s economics. On the same day as Omar’s controversial statement, Talib and Massachusetts Representative Ayanna Pressley unveiled a bill to defund police and pay reparations to black people, per the New York Post.

The bill has not yet been introduced, but the left wing congresswomen say it will be called the “BREATHE Act.”

News also broke just hours after Omar’s call to “dismantle” key aspects of American society that her campaign has given over $878,000 in donation money to a consulting firm owned by her most recent husband, per Fox News.
