Residents of the western suburbs represented by Democrat Dean Phillips have begun seeing new advertisements asking Phillips to join numerous calls to remove Democrat Ilhan Omar from the powerful Foreign Affair Committee.
The ads specifically target Dean Phillips (D-MN), Abigail Spanberger (D-VA), Tom Malinowski (D-NJ), Haley Stevens (D-MI) and are sponsored by the American Action Network.
Similar ads have run in the past. Omar has been previously condemned by Jewish Community Relations Council of Minnesota and the Dakotas (JCRC). Since the outcry by Jewish groups, Rep. Ilhan Omar has doubled down on her attacks on Israel.
Dean Phillips who has previously campaigned as a moderate has not taken a public position if he supports Ilhan Omar to serve on the Foreign Affairs Committee.
