Minnesota Trump Victory Team Made Over 1,000,000 Voter Contacts for 2020 election

The Minnesota Trump Victory team celebrated a huge milestone over the weekend, telling Alpha News that it had made more than one million voter contacts for the 2020 election cycle. President Trump’s re-election campaign touted the milestone as a testament to its data drive ground game strategy.

“We didn’t leave Minnesota after the 2016 election cycle,” RNC Spokesperson Preya Samsundar told Alpha News. “Thanks to our ground game program – which has been built and executed on our data and our commitment to flipping Minnesota in November, our army of volunteers have been able to hit such a crucial milestone in such a short amount of time.”

With a state like Minnesota, whose population was 5.64 million in 2019, it stands that the Trump Victory operation has already contacted nearly 20 percent of the state.

But Trump Victory wants Minnesotans to know they are not done yet, highlighting the work they have done during the pandemic. When the coronavirus made its way to Minnesota and Gov. Tim Walz shutdown the state before St. Patrick’s Day, Trump Victory had already switched over its entire ground game campaign into a virtual one.

As the campaign told Alpha News back in April, it took their team just 24 hours after President Trump announced new CDC guidelines to move their campaign online.

Using online video platforms like Zoom and Google Hangouts, the Trump Victory organization has repeatedly touted its ability to reach new voters, train them online, and contact new voters. As Samsundar told us, “switching over to the digital campaign hasn’t slowed us down a bit” – and the numbers they highlight seem to fall in line. Of those million plus calls made by the Minnesota Trump operation, they note that nearly 800,000 of those contacts were made after March 13, the day the Trump Victory operation went digital.

Meanwhile, Joe Biden’s campaign continues to lag behind the Trump campaign with many outlets noticing the former vice president’s constant missteps in trying to bring his campaign online.
