MyPillow CEO helped bail out Kyle Rittenhouse

Mike Lindell has already earned a hearty endorsement from President Donald Trump to run for governor in Minnesota in 2022.

MyPillow CEO and prospective Minnesota gubernatorial candidate Mike Lindell made a key contribution that helped Kyle Rittenhouse make bail.

Rittenhouse is a 17-year-old who stands accused of shooting and killing two people and wounding a third during a riot in Kenosha, Wisconsin, on Aug. 25. Rittenhouse’s legal team and some witnesses to the shooting argue that he acted in self defense. However, the prosecution disagrees and the Illinois native presently faces six charges, including first degree intentional homicide and attempted intentional homicide, according to the Daily Caller.

On Friday, he was released from jail after a $2 million cash bond was posted on his behalf. After his release, Rittenhouse’s lawyer Lin Wood revealed that Lindell played a key role in securing Rittenhouse’s temporary freedom.

“God bless all who donated to help … raise [the] required $2M cash bail. Special thanks to Actor Ricky Schroder … & Mike Lindell… for putting us over the top,” Wood said via Twitter.

According to another tweet from Wood, Lindell donated $50,000 to Rittenhouse’s legal defense fund.

Wood is a prolific conservative attorney. He recently attempted to halt the certification of the 2020 election results in Georgia, which he believed were fraudulent. Lindell also hired Wood in September to potentially sue CNN’s Anderson Cooper after he allegedly defamed the CEO on air.

Lindell is no stranger to politics, either. Both the Minnesota GOP chair and President Donald Trump have said they’ll support Lindell if he chooses to run for governor of Minnesota in 2022.

“You should run,” the president told the MyPillow founder at a September campaign stop in Minnesota. “You should run. He has my complete and total endorsement. You should run. You’d be a hell of a governor. At least you know one thing, Minnesota would be well promoted. Mike, run for governor, please.”

Meanwhile, Rittenhouse’s release has drawn threats of assassination and even the ire of progressive politicians like New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.
