However, whenever, and wherever “racism” — systemic, structural or institutional — exists in the United States, it’s likely perpetrated by the left.
Vapid slogans concocted by university radicals like “white privilege” or “anti-racist” are part of a toxic ideology dividing, rather than uniting us. And usually the examples are imaginary, unnecessary or dishonest.
Unfortunately, this is par for the course from Democrats, including the current administration.
If athletes, celebrities and corporate leaders opened a book, they’d know that judging people by skin color in lieu of character content has a long, sordid history in the donkey party.
Democrats are responsible for defending slavery, starting the Civil War, opposing Reconstruction, founding the Ku Klux Klan, supporting Jim Crow laws, segregation, poll taxes, lynchings and more.
All seven justices who supported the notorious 1857 Dred Scott decision — where blacks were deemed not to be included as citizens in the Constitution — were Democrats.
The party voted against the 13th, 14th and 15th amendments — establishing equality for black Americans — and gave the longest filibuster in Senate history over the 1964 Civil Rights Act.
Democrats did not elect a black congressman until 1935, and every black senator until just 28 years ago was a Republican. When federal troops withdrew from the South after Reconstruction, laws to suppress blacks were enforced by the KKK, the paramilitary arm of Democrats.
Democrats are also the party of forced sterilization and killing unborn children. Planned Parenthood, founded by the execrable Margaret Sanger, was created to “exterminate the Negro population.” In recent years, there are more abortions of black babies in New York City than births. Who permits this? Democrat politicians.
Democrat President Woodrow Wilson re-segregated many federal agencies and screened the racist film The Birth of a Nation at the White House. Like Bernie Sanders today, the 28th president was an unconstrained anti-liberty statist.
Democrat President Franklin Roosevelt interned 120,000 Americans of Japanese descent, while Republican President Dwight Eisenhower forced the integration of Little Rock schools against the wishes of Arkansas’ Democrat Governor Orval Faubus.
Democrat President Lyndon Johnson started the welfare state that tripled the number of black children growing up fatherless.
Race hustlers Jessie Jackson and Al Sharpton (and a new cadre of effete academics, malevolent “journalists,” and money-seeking provocateurs) foment victimhood-as-virtue while filling their pockets. The party promotes racial identity politics because their failed policies continue to show their contempt for black people.
Opposition to school choice keeps blacks and other minorities in failing schools. Anti-science teachers unions, whose well-paid members fund Democrat politicians, have seized the pandemic and locked vulnerable children out of schools for an entire year.
“Progressive policing” increases crime and places everyone in danger. Draconian gun confiscation laws leave urban citizens unable to protect themselves.
(Despite many Democrats believing the number is 10,000, in 2019, a grand total of eight unarmed black men were shot and killed by police, while more than 2,000 blacks were murdered by other blacks.)
Democrats have a monopoly on failing cities like Atlanta, Baltimore, Boston, Chicago, Denver, Detroit, Los Angeles, Milwaukee, Minneapolis, New York, Oakland, Philadelphia, Portland, San Francisco, Seattle and St. Louis.
If Democrats wanted to help the 47 million black Americans, they would end abortion; support school choice; eradicate the welfare state; promote advancement based on merit, not race; support the Second Amendment, a robust military and police; secure the border; quell job-killing eco hysteria; stop proposing detrimental minimum wage hikes; end insidious lockdowns; and cease their tear-it-all-down “social justice.” Disingenuous pleas for “equity” help no one of any race.
But they won’t, because “anti racism” is mainly projection by self-loathing leftists — Silicon Valley personnel, academic elites and even privileged royalty — looking for faux oppression.
To be helpless to change your circumstances is to be disempowered; to be disempowered is to be resentful and unable to succeed.
Woke bigots inexplicably admire that. I find this entire cavalcade of buffoonery detestable.
