A state representative is being challenged for her seat after one of her constituents was outraged by her support for the Gateway Corridor, a mass transit project from Woodbury to St Paul. Steve Ellenwood is a local party activist and is running against Representative Kelly Fenton for the Republican endorsement. Ellenwood served in the Air Force, was an IT Analyst, and volunteered for Barry Goldwater back in high school.
Ellenwood says if elected he would push for the State Legislature to meet every other year and is passionate about education reform. Ellenwood says he would put a stop to the Gateway Corridor.
Representative Fenton announced she is seeking another term back in February. Fenton has not yet commented on Ellenwood’s campaign. The endorsement convention is April 2nd.
