The race to receive the Republican endorsement in Inver Grove Heights is heating up as the endorsing convention looms nearer.  There are two candidates seeking the endorsement, Don Lee and Regina Barr.  The district is currently held by retiring State Representative Joe Atkins.

Regina Barr, originally from New York, moved to Minnesota in 1993 and has lived in the district for 18 years. Barr works in banking and financial services and started her own business. Between starting her own business and seeing several businesses leave her community, Barr says she is passionate about “fostering a positive tax environment.”

Barr believes being new to running and having practical business experience will give her a “fresh perspective” as a lawmaker.

The endorsing convention is April 2nd.  Subscribe to Alpha News as we continue to track this race and several others.
