The Minnesota DFL has launched an ad campaign that attacks Republican senators over claims of them not passing “real police reform.”

The DFL has started to run ads on Facebook and Instagram that target Senate Republicans over blocking their attempts at changing Minnesota Policing laws. The ads encourage people to demand change from Senators and direct them to the contact info necessary.

“Minnesotans will be watching next week’s special session closely. If Senate Republicans walk away from their jobs without getting anything done yet again, they should not expect to keep them,” said the Minnesota DFL Chair Ken Martin.

Some of the desired reforms Democrats want include restricting the use of lethal force, giving under-watch ex-cons voting rights, and banning chokeholds.

Their ads target high-profile Senators such as Karin Housley, Carla Nelson, Warren Limmer, and Paul Anderson. The ads encourage people to “demand police reform” from the Senators.
