ANTIFA Shows Up at Anti-Ilhan Omar Rally in Mpls, Inciting Violence

On Feb. 17, an event titled “Rally Against Rep. Ilhan Omar” took place in Minneapolis. A Facebook video shows that the ANTIFA showed up, inciting violence and scaring those who do not support Representative Ilhan Omar.

On Feb. 10, Former Republican Governor Candidate Phillip Parrish posted on Facebook his concerns with the event. “I have tried to contact the alleged organizer of this event several times. No success.” Parrish said. He continued by citing his personal experiences with events like these being “way to seduce people into an unsafe and threatening situation and/or trap people into a premeditated plot to cause a conflict whereby the perpetrators record and then play victim.”

Video shows that that was exactly what happened on Feb. 17. Teresa Blair attended and recorded her time at the event. She is active in Minnesota politics and said “No real patriots were here other than me & my people.”

The video depicts Blair walking around the rally and simply talking to attendees, none of which she recognized. The organizer of the patriot event, “Cali Kern”, was unable to give Parrish, as well as Blair any details about himself or the event. The opposition widely outnumbered that of the organizers, which Blair thought to be very concerning and said “stay home” many times in the video.

Later in the last 60 seconds of the video, a man wearing a facemask approaches Blair’s vehicle saying “this man stole my phone” and begins beating the car until more facemask wearing individuals approach and shatter the windshield. Blair and the others in the vehicle begin to drive away, but one of the individuals with a facemask hangs off the side of the car. Blair then ends the video.

Since then, Blair has posted conversations of a Feb. 12 email with the Minneapolis Police Department that state their awareness of the rally and how “squads will monitor it”. No police were seen near the site in the video and no action was taken to protect Blair during the assault.
