Marco Rubio Fundraising in Minnesota & Announces Leadership Team

Minneapolis, Minnesota January 19, 2016  At 8am this morning, 2016 presidential candidate Marco Rubio held a fundraiser and rally in Minneapolis.

Joined by his Minnesota Campaign leadership team, including former gubernatorial candidate Jeff Johnson, GOP operatives Steve Sviggum and Marty Seifert, Rubio held a $2700 per person fundraiser and press conference at the Minneapolis Club.

Rubio (11.8%) currently trails Donald Trump (34.5%) and Ted Cruz (19.3%) in the Real Clear Politics average of national polling data.  In November’s Minnesota Republican Central Committee’s convention straw poll, Rubio (46 votes) came in second to Ted Cruz (90 votes), with Trump a distant fourth with 29 votes.

The GOP Caucuses will take place on March 1, 2016.  Due to rule changes with regard to delegates being bound to their votes, Minnesota is sure to see more attention from all the GOP Presidential candidates over the next few months.
