Amber Alert: Child Taken From Scene of Reported Stabbing in South Minneapolis

Police seeking help from the public in finding missing 2 year old boy.

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. – Minneapolis police are seeking help from the public in locating a 2 ½ year old boy allegedly abducted after a domestic dispute.

Authorities were called to the 2000 block of 3rd Avenue S. near Franklin Avenue early this morning after a reported domestic dispute. The officials found a woman who had been stabbed in the leg. Her young son was gone, believed to be taken by the noncustodial father, Hershel Theo Hulbert.

Bureau of Criminal Apprehension issued an Amber Alert asking for help finding the boy. Hulbert is believed to be driving a 1999 silver Dodge Durango with Minnesota license plate 628 MMM.

Officials describe the boy as dark in complexion, with black braided hair, brown eyes, and wearing a red and gray shirt and blue jeans. Hulbert is 26, 5’9”, has brown eyes, and short black hair.

The mother is at Hennepin County Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.
